“Let Kids Grow Up”, is a series of coloured pencil drawings on acid free paper. The work was exhibited in the show, I Won’t Say It Twice, curated by Bianca McDonald and Nour El Sabeh, at the NSCAD Anna Leonowens Gallery from July 15-19, 2025.
I Won't Say It Twice is an evocative group show that invites viewers into the raw, unfiltered conversations that shape the way we think, see, feel, and react to the world around us. It features a diverse group of artists who aim to tackle pressing social, political, and personal issues with a confrontational approach. Their work serves as a powerful catalyst for dialogue, demanding attention and reflection on topics which are often avoided, criticized, or ultimately polarizing. This exhibition challenges the notion of silence by offering a space for artists to publicly voice what they’ve been engaging with, and to say it with such conviction that they won’t have to say it again.
